Keramické stolní lampy Jesseho Shawa vycházejí z tradičních archetypů nádob a spojují známé tvary s výraznou glazurou a intuitivní variabilitou. Každá lampa je ručně vyrobena umělcem, takže barva, povrch i tvar se během procesu tvorby vyvíjejí. Každý kus je jedinečný.
The glaze is even more vivid in person than in the photos—the surface has this subtle variation that changes with the light. It’s clearly handmade, which gives it a character you just don’t get from factory pieces. I’m already planning where to put a second one.
I was nervous about buying a handmade piece online, but the subtle variations in the glaze make it feel like a tiny sculpture rather than just a lamp. The familiar vessel shape fits perfectly on my sideboard without trying too hard, and the color is even richer in person.
The glaze on this lamp shifts beautifully depending on the light—one minute it’s deep sea, the next it’s almost amber. It’s clearly handmade, with subtle variation in the surface that makes it feel like a tiny sculpture. I’ve had it on my side table for a week and still catch myself staring.
