Měřítko a konstrukce kolekce Mini jsou však inspirovány dřevěnými stěžni lodí. Před vyspělými materiály a průmyslovou výrobou byly dřevěné plachetnice technickými zázraky své doby. Z nutnosti byla jejich konstrukce stejně vynalézavá jako krásná.
The mast-inspired construction is what sold me, and it doesn’t disappoint in person—the proportions feel surprisingly solid for something so compact. I’ve got it hanging over a small reading nook and the light throw is just right for the space.
For such a small fixture, it really holds its own as a sculptural piece—the mast-inspired construction gives the room a quiet, nautical drama I didn't expect. Took a bit of fiddling to mount, but once it's up, the light it throws is warm and even. Exactly the architectural accent I wanted.
The mini scale makes it feel more like a building detail than a lamp, and the mast-inspired joinery gives it a surprisingly sturdy presence. I do wish the cord were a bit longer for my ceiling height, but it's a sharp piece once it's up.
