La colección Knot de Miller es una destilación de un proyecto realizado para la Heller Gallery. Grandes espejos fueron enmarcados y cubiertos con “enredaderas” entrelazadas. La colección Knot utiliza el detalle más pequeño de esas piezas para romper los marcos platónicos y crear puntos de suspensión para cada espejo.
I was a little worried it would look too busy on the wall, but the way the vines taper off from the frame keeps it elegant instead of overwhelming. The craftsmanship on the intertwining is seriously meticulous up close.
The way the intertwined vines wrap around the frame feels almost sculptural, like a tiny piece of the Heller Gallery project you can hang at home. The detail is so fine that I keep noticing new twists every time I walk past it.
The vine pattern is so intricate up close, you can see it’s a true miniature of the full-scale mirror project. It’s surprisingly lightweight for the detail work, and it’s already the first thing guests comment on when they walk in.
