Jesse Shaw'n keraamiset pöytävalaisimet ammentavat perinteisistä astiamuodoista yhdistäen tuttuja muotoja eloisaan lasitteeseen ja intuitiiviseen vaihteluun. Jokainen valaisin on taiteilijan käsin tekemä, mikä antaa värin, pinnan ja muodon kehittyä valmistusprosessin aikana. Jokainen kappale on ainutlaatuinen.
The glaze shifts beautifully in different light, almost like the color changes depending on where I place it in the room. Every time I walk past mine, I notice a new little variation in the surface that makes it feel genuinely one-of-a-kind.
I was a little nervous about buying a lamp blind, but the handmade variation in the glaze makes it feel like a one-of-a-kind piece. It sits beautifully on my side table, and the traditional vessel shape gives it a quiet, grounded presence that fits right in.
The way the glaze pools differently around the base and neck means no two angles of this lamp look quite the same—it’s like owning a tiny piece of sculpture that just happens to light a room. I keep catching myself staring at the surface texture even when it’s off.
