La collezione Knot di Miller è una sintesi di un progetto realizzato per la Heller Gallery. Grandi specchi sono stati incorniciati e ricoperti di “viti” intrecciate. La collezione Knot utilizza il più piccolo dettaglio di quei pezzi per rompere le cornici platoniche e creare punti di sospensione per ogni specchio.
I was a little worried it would look too busy on the wall, but the way the vines taper off from the frame keeps it elegant instead of overwhelming. The craftsmanship on the intertwining is seriously meticulous up close.
The way the intertwined vines wrap around the frame feels almost sculptural, like a tiny piece of the Heller Gallery project you can hang at home. The detail is so fine that I keep noticing new twists every time I walk past it.
The vine pattern is so intricate up close, you can see it’s a true miniature of the full-scale mirror project. It’s surprisingly lightweight for the detail work, and it’s already the first thing guests comment on when they walk in.
