Jason MillerのMiniコレクションは、Endlessと同様に、もともと建築的要素としての照明器具として構想されました。しかし、Miniのスケールと構造は、木造の船のマストに着想を得ています。先進的な素材や工業生産が登場する以前、木造帆船は当時の工学上の驚異でした。必然的に、その構造は美しいだけでなく独創的でもありました。
The mast-inspired construction is what sold me, and it doesn’t disappoint in person—the proportions feel surprisingly solid for something so compact. I’ve got it hanging over a small reading nook and the light throw is just right for the space.
For such a small fixture, it really holds its own as a sculptural piece—the mast-inspired construction gives the room a quiet, nautical drama I didn't expect. Took a bit of fiddling to mount, but once it's up, the light it throws is warm and even. Exactly the architectural accent I wanted.
The scale gives it real presence—like a tiny ship's mast, exactly as described. But for the price, I expected the finish to feel a bit more substantial up close. It's a conversation piece, though, and it works fine as a statement in my hallway.
