The joinery on this thing is what sold me—you can see the shipwright influence in every angle, and it casts a surprisingly warm glow for something so compact. Took a while to find the right spot for it, but now it's the first thing I notice when I walk into the room.
The way the Mini's scale echoes a ship's mast is what sold me—it reads as a bold architectural piece even in a small hallway. The craftsmanship is clean and the light it casts feels surprisingly warm for such a compact fixture.
The mast-inspired proportions are clever in theory, but in practice the fixture feels a bit delicate for the architectural statement it's going for. The wood construction is nice enough, though I wish the light output were a touch warmer for a room that needs more ambiance.
