Net als Endless is de Mini-collectie van Jason Miller oorspronkelijk bedacht als een lichtarmatuur als architectonisch element. De schaal en constructie van Mini zijn echter geïnspireerd op houten scheepsmasten. Vóór geavanceerde materialen en industriële productie waren houten zeilschepen de technische wonderen van hun tijd. Uit noodzaak was de constructie even inventief als mooi.
