De Modo-serie is geïnspireerd op de kant-en-klare, standaard onderdelen die je in goedkope verlichtingswinkels vindt. In tegenstelling tot die is Modo echter zorgvuldig ontworpen en op maat CNC-gefreesd uit massief aluminium. Het spaak-en-naafsysteem maakt tientallen configuraties mogelijk, waardoor Modo net zo veelzijdig als mooi is.
Machined parts are crisper than anything I've seen at the big-box lighting aisle, and the threads seat together with zero slop. It's clearly not a mass-produced piece, the kind of precision you actually notice when you're tightening it down.
The fit and finish are way beyond what you'd expect from something that looks like a basic off-the-shelf fixture. I spent a good few minutes just running my fingers along the CNC-milled edges, they're that precise.
The machining on this thing is so clean it’s almost a shame to hide it behind a lampshade. You can tell it’s not one of those flimsy off-the-shelf fixtures just by picking it up.
