For første gang utvider Jesse Shaw keramikkarbeidet sitt til hengelamper. Med utgangspunkt i de samme tradisjonelle, karinspirerte formene som står sentralt i praksisen hans, utforsker hver pendel forholdet mellom form, farge og lys – og fungerer like mye som skulptur som lyskilde. Hvert enkelt stykke er håndlaget av kunstneren og unikt.
The way the light filters through the ceramic shade completely changes the mood of my dining room — it's warm and soft, not harsh at all. I love that it keeps that traditional vessel-inspired silhouette, so it feels both handmade and modern.
The ceramic shade has real weight to it, which makes me trust the craftsmanship, but the cord could be a bit longer if your ceiling is high. Still, the way it brings that hand-thrown, vessel-inspired shape into our dining room is exactly what I was after.
The ceramic shade is lovely and the vessel-inspired shape definitely stands out, but the hanging kit feels a bit basic for the price. It works fine, just wasn't blown away by the overall finish once I got it up.
