I was a little nervous the brass would look too flashy, but it’s got this nice weight and a subtle glow that fits right in with my old house. The traditional shape feels solid, yet it doesn’t clash with my modern desk at all.
The oil-rubbed bronze finish is deeper and richer in person than I expected, and it feels like a piece that belongs in a proper old house. It’s got that Gilded Age vibe without being fussy—clean enough for my modern desk.
