For the first time, Jesse Shaw expands his ceramic work into hanging lights. Drawing from the same traditional vessel-inspired forms that are central to his practice, each pendant explores the relationship between form, color, and light; functioning as sculpture as much as a source of light. Every piece is handmade by the artist and one of a kind.
The ceramic shade has this lovely weight to it that makes the whole fixture feel substantial, and the way it catches light really shows off the vessel-inspired shape. I keep catching myself just staring at it from across the room.
