Originalmente concebido como um candelabro, Agnes inspira-se na heroína fictícia com o mesmo nome, uma trabalhadora da profissão mais antiga do mundo durante a Corrida do Ouro na Califórnia em 1849. O sistema modular permitiria a Agnes uma montagem fácil no seu "espaço de trabalho" improvisado. Nesta versão, tubos de vidro brilhantes substituem as velas. As articulações permitem que o vidro seja disposto de inúmeras maneiras.
