Installed this on the hallway ceiling and the brass ring feels substantial, not flimsy. The glass dome throws a soft, even glow that makes the whole entryway feel warmer at night.
The way the luminous glass catches warm evening light completely changes the mood of my hallway, and the surface mount keeps it flush without any awkward shadows. Installation took me under ten minutes, and the brass detail looks even richer in person than in the photos.
Took a chance on this for our hallway and the surface mount design makes installation way easier than I expected—no cord clutter anywhere, just the warm glow from the glass. The brass has a nice, subtle weight to it that feels solid against the wall.
