The ribbed Venetian glass catches the light in such a soft way, and the glow it throws off feels almost weightless in the corner of my living room. The antique brass stem is a nice contrast too, not too shiny, just enough warmth to match the shade.
The antique brass base has a lovely weight to it, and the way the glass diffuses the light into that warm, soft glow completely changed the mood in my reading nook. Even off, the ribbed form looks like a little sculpture.
I was a little worried the brass might look too shiny in person, but it’s got a lovely antique patina that feels warm and understated. The rounded, ribbed shape really does seem to float on the shelf, and the glow it throws is soft enough for a cozy evening room.
