Concebido originalmente como un candelabro, Agnes se inspira en la heroína ficticia del mismo nombre, una trabajadora de la profesión más antigua del mundo durante la fiebre del oro de California en 1849. El sistema modular permitiría a Agnes montarlo fácilmente en su improvisado "lugar de trabajo". En esta versión, los tubos de vidrio brillantes sustituyen a las velas.
