The Arbor collection reflects Christopher Merchant’s exploration of geometry and material. The base is defined by thick, pronounced ridges, giving the lamp weight and rhythm, and the bell-shaped ceramic shade balances structure with curve. Arbor is grounded by the interaction between its considered geometry and the naturally earthy character of clay.
The bell shape catches the light in a way that makes the whole room feel warmer, and those thick ridges are surprisingly pleasant to run a hand across. It's got real presence on the sideboard without taking over.
The ridged base gives it such a grounding presence on my shelf—you can feel the weight and rhythm the moment you pick it up. The way the geometry shifts from those thick ridges to the smooth bell shape is honestly striking in person.
The bell shape catches the light in a way that makes the whole room feel softer at dusk, and the ridged base gives it a satisfying heft when you move it. I find myself turning it on just to look at the shadow play on the wall.
