Jesse Shaw’s ceramic table lamps draw from traditional vessel archetypes, pairing familiar forms with vivid glaze and intuitive variation. Each lamp is handmade by the artist, allowing color, surface, and form to evolve in the process of making. Every piece is one of a kind.
The hand-thrown variation makes each lamp feel like a one-of-a-kind piece, and the vivid glaze catches the light in a way that completely changes the room at dusk. I’ve had mine for two weeks and still catch myself staring at the surface texture.
The way the glaze pools thicker near the base gives each lamp its own little personality, even though they all share that classic vase shape. I’ve been staring at mine on the sideboard all week, and the color still catches me off guard in the evening light.
The way the glaze pools around the base gives it this almost liquid depth that shifts in the afternoon light, and the handmade variation means mine has a subtle drip pattern I haven't seen in any photo. It’s exactly the kind of lamp that makes a plain side table feel intentional.
