Like Knot and Bend before it, Knob is the latest of Jason Miller’s mirror designs that uses the anchor point as the defining design element. Solid brass egg shaped knobs pierce the mirror’s glass and anchor the mirror to the wall, a detail that is both functional and ornamental. Knob is available in both oak and black walnut in a variety of sizes.
The solid brass feels substantial and warm in hand, and the way the egg shape anchors the glass gives the whole mirror a sculptural quality that photos don't fully capture. It's a statement piece in my entryway, and I've already gotten a few compliments on it.
The egg-shaped knobs catch the light in a way that makes the whole mirror feel like a piece of sculpture, not just something to check my hair in. I've had it up for two weeks now and the brass is already developing a nice warm patina that I didn't expect this soon.
