The Modo series was inspired by the kinds of ready-made, off-the-shelf parts that can be found at inexpensive lighting stores. Unlike those, however, Modo is painstakingly engineered and custom CNC-milled from solid aluminum. The spoke-and-hub system allows for dozens of configurations, making Modo as versatile as it is beautiful.
The machining on this is so precise it actually catches the light differently than the cheap store fixtures I was expecting. It screws together solidly with zero wobble, feels like a piece of equipment rather than a light. Genuinely impressed for the price.
The CNC-milled finish feels way more precise than the stamped metal parts I've seen at big-box lighting stores, so it's got that custom look for sure. Only gripe is it took a bit to get used to the mounting bracket, but once it's up it's solid.
