The Modo series was inspired by the kinds of ready-made, off-the-shelf parts that can be found at inexpensive lighting stores. Unlike those, however, Modo is painstakingly engineered and custom CNC-milled from solid aluminum. The spoke-and-hub system allows for dozens of configurations, making Modo as versatile as it is beautiful.
I was a little skeptical paying this much for what look like basic fixtures, but the custom CNC work is immediately obvious once you hold one. The threads are perfectly smooth and every edge has that precise, finished feel you just don't get from the cheap store alternatives. These are going to last
The machining is honestly flawless — every edge and joint lines up perfectly, like it was cut with intention rather than stamped out. It looks far more expensive than the price tag suggests, and the weight feels solid without being clunky.
The machine work is what sold me — every edge on this light looks like it was cut by a jeweler, not stamped out in a factory. It’s clearly built to last, which is exactly what I was hoping for when I ordered it.
