Miller's Knot-kollektionen är en destillation av ett projekt som gjordes för Heller Gallery. Stora speglar ramades in och täcktes med sammanflätade "rankor". Knot-kollektionen använder den minsta detaljen från dessa verk för att bryta de platonska ramarna och skapa upphängningspunkter för varje spegel.
I was a little worried it would look too busy on the wall, but the way the vines taper off from the frame keeps it elegant instead of overwhelming. The craftsmanship on the intertwining is seriously meticulous up close.
The way the intertwined vines wrap around the frame feels almost sculptural, like a tiny piece of the Heller Gallery project you can hang at home. The detail is so fine that I keep noticing new twists every time I walk past it.
The vine pattern is so intricate up close, you can see it’s a true miniature of the full-scale mirror project. It’s surprisingly lightweight for the detail work, and it’s already the first thing guests comment on when they walk in.
